The Pescadero High School staff strives to ensure that all students are successful. Much thought and discussion has gone into the question of “what do we want all students to know upon graduation from the school?” To this end, we have secured funding for a variety of programs that encourage and support students to reach their fullest potential including Step to College and Student Initiated Learning. All students participate in mentoring activities, internships, and complete an advanced research paper and oral presentation to the community prior to graduation.Student athletes at Pescadero High School compete in the Bay Area Conference in eight sports. Boys compete in soccer, basketball, baseball and golf while girls compete in volleyball, basketball, softball and soccer.

Pescadero High School staff and students enjoy strong parent and community support. The school is small and students enjoy a low student teacher ratio of 1:11. Classes are smaller than the state average with an average class size of only 16 students. Students attend classes on a 4x4 block schedule giving students longer blocks of time for each subject. We know we are a unique public high school in California!
